The Barry-Roubaix course has been changed up a little this year, with a new section of sandy, muddy two-track right around mile 30 of the 35 mile course. When I rode the course a few weeks ago, it was still quite cold, so the sand was frozen solid with a bit of ice on top. Now that temperatures have been reaching the upper 60s, the ice is gone, and the sand is looking much softer.
